Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the port-out process take?
The timeline depends on when your new carrier submits the port request to us. Port scheduling and timing is controlled by your new carrier. Once they submit the request with your PIN, the port typically completes within 1-5 business days depending on the type of numbers being ported.
What happens to my TELAIR service after I port out?
Your TELAIR service remains active unless you submit a cancellation request at /forms/cancel. If you're only porting some numbers, the remaining numbers and services will continue working normally. If you're porting all numbers and want to cancel, you must submit the cancellation form separately.
Do I need to cancel my account separately?
It depends. If you're porting ALL your numbers AND want to cancel service entirely, you should also submit a cancellation request at /forms/cancel. If you're keeping some services or numbers with TELAIR, your account will remain active. Select your intent in Step 3 of this form.
What is the port authorization PIN and when do I get it?
The port authorization PIN is what your new carrier needs to complete the port. We'll issue the PIN to the account owner's email within 1-2 business days after you submit this form. You must have all outstanding balances paid in full before we can issue the PIN.
Can I port only some of my numbers?
Yes, you can port out specific numbers while keeping others active with TELAIR. List only the numbers you want to port in this form. Your remaining numbers and services will continue working normally with no changes to your account.
What charges will I have after porting out?
If you're canceling service entirely, you'll be charged for: prorated monthly fees through the port completion date, any outstanding usage charges (calls, texts, data), toll-free fees, long distance charges, and any applicable early termination fees if you have a contract. All balances must be paid before we issue the port authorization PIN.
